The AirEFB application consolidates essential flight information, technical manuals, and charts into a single, organized platform on an iPad, aiming to streamline pre-flight planning and in-flight reference activities. Its intuitive design facilitates efficient management of flight checklists and provides aircraft and airport navigation assistance during ground operations.

Specifically engineered for seamless integration with the X-Plane flight simulator, AirEFB offers an interface layer that consolidates all necessary onboard documents. It serves as an indispensable tool for ground navigation, guiding pilots to designated holding points and runways with ease.

Leveraging a next-generation communications protocol, AirEFB connects effortlessly to X-Plane through a simple plugin installation, enabling automatic, real-time data synchronization without any complex configuration. This ensures a smooth and reliable link during operation.

The application is compatible with iPads running iOS 9 or higher across all screen sizes and supports connection to X-Plane versions 9, 10, and 11.

Its CHARTS module enables access to synchronized approach plates stored within the app, charts uploaded from the user’s Air Account, and over 4GB of FAA-published US airport charts, providing comprehensive visual references for flight planning.

The DOCUMENTS feature allows users to load and search their own aircraft specifications and technical documentation in PDF format, ensuring quick access to pertinent data.

With CHEKLISTS, pilots can create custom aircraft checklists, utilize predefined lists in XChecklist (.clist.txt) format, or automatically load checklists from X-Plane. The PLANE INTERFACE function enhances workflow efficiency by premarking checklist items based on real-time data references before manually confirming completion.

The AIRPORT DATA & MAP section offers detailed airport identification with graphical representations of the airport layout, surrounding traffic, weather conditions, ATC frequencies, wind speed, and altimeter settings. It provides in-context situational awareness by depicting moving traffic within a realistic environment, enhancing ground navigation accuracy and operational awareness.

Supported traffic features include native X-Plane ATC traffic as well as JARDesign’s X-Life traffic plugin, ensuring comprehensive traffic simulation integration.
